My Take on First Things First by Stephen R.Covey, Merrill, Merrill

My Take on First Things First by Stephen R.Covey, Merrill, Merrill

A very good book, filled with examples that would make you think. I read this book because I was having difficulties juggling my student life and personal life.

I would like to share with you the tools that I find efficient in this book

1. Follow your intuition

2. Always categorize your to-do's and put them into 4 categories.
  • Important & Urgent
  • Important & Not Urgent
  • Not Important & Urgent
  • Not Important & Not Urgent
You decide your issues priorities, I can say that loitering is in the 4th category but some people would view loitering as a way socializing. So, based on that logic it is up to you on how to set your priorities straight!

3. Live in the present.

It is easy to be worried about the future and delve into the past. Start by being grateful of what you have and things will casually follow suit.

Conclusion

I really recommend this book for people with difficulties in juggling their daily lives. Honestly, I think that the audience for the book is more towards elderly people (30's and beyond). The way it is written are not that entertaining for the younger generation.
