Today I would like to share my review of DIY 360 Mengurus Wang by Alwi Adam. "Mengurus Wang" means money management.

Overall, this book is a great read. If you are new to the financial world and would like to learn new techniques to manage your finance, I really recommend this book. This book not only teaches you how to manage your finance, the writer also includes tips and tricks on how to be financially independent by investing in real estates, low-risk stocks also Real Estate Investment Trusts.

I really like how he incorporates storytelling with investing. In one of the chapters, he portrayed how an old technician with a low salary schools a fresh graduate engineer who recently bought an expensive car due to family pressure. I am not sure with other countries but in Malaysia, society expects you to flaunt your wealth depending on your job. I am not blaming the society, the society is a product of its culture. I believe that everything in the world is in balance or it is in the process to be.
Enough of my world opinion.

Besides that, there is a lot of basic technical tools to analyze your financial situation that can help you reach your target in the future.

One of the methods to get positive cash flow is to buy a house and rent it at a higher than the monthly payment. You can explore more by reading the book. It is a comprehensive guide for a beginner like me.


I believe this book is written in Malay because the writer focuses on the Muslim Malay audience. The writer encourages Muslim readers to invest in Syariah-compliant stocks and exposes the reader to 'hukums' regarding few issues in investing. Kudos to him.

In conclusion, if you are a beginner in real life, I really recommend this book. 8/10. I really enjoyed reading the book. It is sold at a decent price too!
